The lower front bumper grille closes the large central opening beneath the number plate and directs cooling air onto the radiator and condenser stack. Sitting at the lowest point of the front end, it takes the worst of the stone chips, kerb strikes and road debris, and is one of the most commonly replaced pieces of front-end trim.

Fitting notes
Access is from behind the bumper cover. Release the retaining tabs of the outgoing grille with a plastic trim lever, working around the edge rather than pulling on the visible face, then press the replacement in until every tab is felt to click. No drilling, cutting or adhesive is required.
Care
Rinse packed mud, leaf litter and insects out of the mesh regularly; debris trapped against the cooler pack restricts airflow and holds moisture. Keep pressure lances at a distance, as close-range spray can spring the clips open.
